Cask for a Cause- Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
February 15 @ 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
February’s Cask for a Cause will be benefiting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, who serve 25 counties and 8 cities on either side of the Blue Ridge through distribution centers in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Winchester and their headquarters in Verona.
They provide nutritious food to 106,000 people each month through a far-reaching network of 200 food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, churches and other nonprofit groups.
We will be in the middle of our Souper Bowl Food Drive benefiting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, so bring in some donations for the bins! Go to their website for needed items:
Make sure to come hungry as Mashita will be set up. From their steam buns and ssam to their weekly specials, you can never go wrong with these guys.
In addition, we will have music from Caleb Saint. Caleb is a singer/songwriter from Charlottesville, VA, who plays his own versions of popular music and standards, as well as originals. While capable of reproducing the favorites, he prefers stripping highly produced songs down to reveal their essence while altering them in ways that respect and complement their meaning. For more on Caleb:
Come out to help out this wonderful cause by buying a pint from their cask and participating in the silent auction for the framed poster for the event. All proceeds from the cask and the silent auction will go to the BRAFB and their cause.
